Doctor:
- analyses how digestive system is built
- orders blood tests
- a psychologists’ opinion is also necessary.
All these checkups are made to assess whether there are no contraindications to use this balloon-therapy.
Contraindications:
We do not recommend this therapy for people who suffer from:
- stomach ulcers and duodenum
- Chron’s disease
- Inflammatory states of oesophagus, changes within the bounds of oesophagus, huge rupture of oesophageal hiatus, oesophageal bleeding
- Oesophageal and stomach varices
- Intestinal elangiectasia
- Past stomach or intestines operations
- Psychic disturbasnces
- Drugs or alcohol addictions
These operations cannot be conducted on people with kidney, pulmonary, liver diseases, pregnant and nursing mothers.
Preparation for the operation
- We recommend taking a one week off. It is usually possible to come back to every-day activities.
- Patient has to fill up the fridge with liquid products, juices and paps for children.
- 12 hours before the operation it is not allowed to eat and drink for 3 hours.
